Terms of use
Last updated: 22 October 2026
These terms (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Elicus Technologies Private Limited (CIN [CIN]), a company incorporated in India with its registered office at [Registered office address, city, PIN] (“we”, “us”, “our”). Truly Invited is a product of Elicus Technologies Private Limited. The Terms cover your use of Truly Invited — the website at trulyinvited.com, the invitations shown on trulyinvited.me, and everything you buy there (together, the “Service”).
By using the Service — including making an invitation without signing in — you agree to these Terms and to our Refunds and cancellation policy, which forms part of them. When you sign in we ask you to confirm this and, separately, for your consent to the use of your personal data that our Privacy policy describes. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
These Terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 (the “IT Act”) and the rules made under it, and need no signature. They are published as rule 3(1) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 (the “IT Rules”) requires.
In short
- You must be 18 or older.
- We provide a platform. You own what you put on your invitations and you are responsible for it. We don’t check it before it goes live, and we don’t check its copyright.
- Anyone who has an invitation’s link can see it, copy it and pass it on. A Public invitation can be found by anyone, including on Google.
- No sexual, hateful, harassing, fraudulent or illegal content, and nothing you don’t have the rights to. We remove it and may suspend you.
- Every payment is final: what you buy is digital and works the moment you pay.
- “Forever” means for as long as the Truly Invited website exists.
- Keep your own copies of your photos: if they are lost and our backups can’t restore them, we can’t bring them back.
- Indian law applies, and the courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan decide disputes.
This summary helps you find your way; the sections below are what apply.
1. Who can use Truly Invited
- You must be 18 or older and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to make the invitation for you.
- If you use the Service for a business or another organisation, you confirm that you may accept these Terms for it.
- You may not use the Service if the law, or an earlier suspension by us, bars you from it.
2. Your account
- You sign in with Google or with a code we email you; we don’t use passwords. Anyone who can read your email can sign in as you, so keep your email account secure, and never share a sign-in code — we will never ask you for one.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account. If you think someone else has used it, write to support@trulyinvited.com at once.
- Give us accurate details, including your billing name and state when you pay.
- You can make drafts without signing in, as a guest. Guest drafts are tied to your browser: if you clear its data you lose them, and drafts left untouched for 30 days are deleted. Signing in moves them into your account. You need to sign in to publish an invitation or to pay.
3. We provide a platform
- Truly Invited gives you designs and tools to make an invitation, and a link to share it. You decide what goes on it and who sees it.
- We host invitations as an intermediary under section 79 of the IT Act. We don’t write, select, edit or approve what users put on their invitations, and we don’t check it before it goes live. In particular, we don’t check whether a user owns, or has permission to use, the photos, names, words or other material they upload.
- What a user publishes is that user’s responsibility. We are not responsible for it, and its being on Truly Invited doesn’t mean we endorse it.
- Anyone can report an invitation to us, and we act on reports and on legal orders as section 9 describes.
4. Your content
“Your content” is everything you add to the Service: names, dates, venues, messages, links, photos and the custom link you choose. The music on an invitation isn’t your content: it comes from us (section 8).
- You keep ownership. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process (resize, compress, re-encode and strip camera and location data), cache, display and transmit your content, and to make posters, link previews and QR codes from it — only to run the Service for you. The licence lasts while your content is in the Service, and afterwards only as long as our Privacy policy says we keep it (backups and legal requirements).
- You promise that: you own your content or have every right, licence and permission needed to use it this way; everyone shown or named on your invitation has agreed to it — for a child, that you are the child’s parent or lawful guardian, or have their parent’s or guardian’s consent; and your content follows these Terms and the law.
- We don’t use your content for advertising, and we don’t use it to train AI models.
5. Who can see your invitation
When you publish an invitation, you choose who can see it. You can change it at any time from My invitations.
- “Anyone with the link” (the default): anyone who has the link can open the invitation. We ask search engines not to list it, so it shouldn’t show up on Google, but it is not secret or protected. The people you send it to can forward it, and anyone who has it can see, screenshot, download, copy or scrape everything on it — names, phone numbers, addresses, dates and photos. A custom link such as rahul-weds-priya.trulyinvited.me is easy to guess.
- “Public”: anyone can find and open it, including through Google and other search engines, which may show its names, address, dates and photos in their results and keep copies for some time after you change it. We ask you to confirm this before an invitation becomes Public.
- “Only me”: the link shows “This invitation is private” to everyone else.
Once you have shared an invitation, we can’t control what others do with it. Changing who can see it, moving it to draft or deleting it stops our link from showing it, but can’t recall screenshots, copies, downloaded posters, or the link previews that apps such as WhatsApp have already saved. Don’t put anything on an invitation that you wouldn’t want seen by people you didn’t send it to. We are not responsible for anyone viewing, copying or using an invitation through its link or a search engine, or for what they do with it.
6. What you must not do
You must not create, upload, publish, share or store on the Service — in an invitation, a custom link, a report or anything else — any content that:
- belongs to another person and to which you have no right;
- is obscene, pornographic or sexually explicit, including nudity and sexual content of any kind, even of consenting adults;
- is paedophilic or sexualises or exploits children in any way, including child sexual abuse material — which we report to the authorities as the law requires;
- invades anyone’s privacy, including bodily privacy — such as intimate images shared without consent — or shares someone’s personal details (phone number, address, identity documents) without their consent;
- insults, humiliates, harasses or demeans anyone on the basis of gender, or represents women indecently;
- is racially or ethnically objectionable, or promotes hatred or enmity between groups on grounds of religion, caste, race, ethnicity, language, place of birth, gender, sexual orientation or disability, or incites violence;
- threatens, harasses, bullies, stalks or defames anyone, or glorifies or encourages violence, terrorism or self-harm;
- relates to or encourages money laundering or gambling, or is — or advertises — an online game that is not permitted under Indian law or that causes user harm;
- is harmful to children;
- infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, design or other intellectual property or proprietary right;
- deceives or misleads people about where it comes from, or knowingly spreads information that is false or misleading — including fake events, offers, jobs, lotteries, or bank, wallet, KYC or government messages, and any scam, phishing or fraud, such as collecting money, OTPs, passwords or personal details by deception;
- impersonates another person, including through a fake name, photo or custom link, or through “deepfakes” — images, audio or video made or altered, by AI or otherwise, to show a real person doing or saying something they didn’t;
- threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign States or public order, incites the commission of any cognisable offence, prevents the investigation of any offence, or insults any other nation;
- contains or links to a virus, malware or any other code designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the working of any computer resource;
- offers or promotes anything illegal, such as drugs, weapons, explosives, wildlife products or counterfeit goods; or
- breaks any law in force in India.
You also must not:
- use the Service to advertise, or to send spam or unsolicited bulk messages;
- get around or test our security, rate limits, bot checks or payment checks (found a security problem? Tell us at support@trulyinvited.com), or overload or disrupt the Service;
- scrape, crawl or bulk-download the Service, our designs or other people’s invitations, or create accounts or invitations by automated means;
- copy, resell or redistribute our designs, artwork, fonts or music, or reverse-engineer the Service;
- use someone else’s name, brand or trademark in a custom link in a way that misleads, or hold custom links only to keep them from others; or
- use the Service in any way that breaks the law or harms us or anyone else.
7. Custom links
A custom link (such as rahul-weds-priya.trulyinvited.me) is a name we let your invitation use while it exists; you don’t own it. We may refuse, remove or take back a name that impersonates someone, uses a trademark misleadingly, misleads or offends, or that the law requires us to remove. When you rename or delete an invitation, or it ends, its old custom link stays reserved for it for a while and is then released for anyone to use.
8. Our designs, music and software
The Service, its software, and the designs, artwork, animations, fonts and music — each design’s own song and the songs in our music library — belong to us or to those who license them to us. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence, which we may withdraw if you break these Terms, to use them only in invitations made and shown on Truly Invited — including the posters and QR codes made from your invitation, to share it. You may not copy them out of the Service, use them anywhere else, or sell, sub-license or redistribute them. “Truly Invited” and its logo are ours.
You can’t upload music of your own: every song on an invitation comes from its design or from our library. A song uploaded before we stopped song uploads keeps playing on its invitation until you choose other music, and you remain responsible for it.
9. Reports, notices and takedown
- Anyone can report an invitation: use the “Report” link on every invitation, the Report page, or write to support@trulyinvited.com.
- Owners of copyright or other rights can send a takedown notice with the details listed on our Grievance officer page.
- We review reports, notices and orders and, where they are valid, remove the content or disable access to the invitation (it then shows “Not available”), within the times the IT Rules set — listed on the Grievance officer page.
- If we take down your invitation, we tell you why by email where we can. If you think we got it wrong, write to our Grievance Officer to ask for a review.
- We keep removed content and the related records for at least 180 days, or longer if a court or an authorised agency asks, as the IT Rules require.
10. Suspension, removal and termination
We may remove or disable access to content, suspend an invitation, or suspend or close your account, immediately and without notice where needed, if:
- you break these Terms or the law;
- a court, a government agency or the law requires it; or
- we reasonably believe it is needed to protect people, the Service or us — for example from fraud, phishing, a security risk, or abuse of payments or chargebacks.
A suspended invitation shows “Not available” and can’t be edited, deleted or kept live longer. Whatever you paid for it is not refunded. If we close your account for a breach, you may not open another one without our written permission.
Please note (we remind you of this regularly, as the IT Rules require):
- If you don’t comply with our Terms of use, our Privacy policy or our rules, we have the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, or to remove or disable access to the content that doesn’t comply, or both.
- If that content breaks the law, you may be liable to penalty or punishment under the IT Act or any other law that applies.
- If it involves an offence that the law requires to be reported — such as under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 or the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 — we report it to the appropriate authority.
You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in Settings. That cancels Pro straight away (without a refund), takes every invitation offline for good — including any you paid to keep live — and deletes everything you uploaded. We keep invoices and payment records as the law requires and, for 180 days, your email address and name and any invitation we had suspended, as the IT Rules require (see section 9 and the Privacy policy). The sections on payments owed, our content, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and the law continue to apply after your account ends.
11. Prices and payments
- Free. Making and previewing invitations is free with every design. Publishing an invitation made with a free design is free, and it stays live for 30 days from when it is first published.
- Keeping an invitation live longer is a one-time payment for that one invitation: 1 year (added to the time it has left) or forever (section 12). It can’t be moved to another invitation, and a duplicate starts as a fresh draft without it. The time keeps running while an invitation is “Only me” or moved back to draft.
- Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription. While it is on, you can publish invitations made with Pro designs, and you get more room: more photos per invitation, more storage and more custom links. Pro does not make invitations stay live longer. An invitation you published with Pro stays live until its own end date even if Pro ends, and you can keep updating it on the same design; publishing a different Pro design needs Pro again.
- Pro renews automatically at the end of each month or year, charged to the card, UPI AutoPay or e-mandate you set up, until you cancel. Your bank or UPI app may notify you before each charge, as the Reserve Bank of India’s rules on recurring payments require. Cancel at any time from My invitations or Billing: nothing more is charged, and Pro stays on until the end of the period you have paid for. A plan runs for up to 120 monthly or 10 yearly renewals; we email you before it ends.
- If a renewal fails, Razorpay retries it over the next few days. Meanwhile your live invitations stay live, but you can’t publish new Pro designs; if it keeps failing, Pro ends.
- Prices are on the Pricing page and at checkout, in Indian rupees. We may change prices for future purchases; a running Pro plan keeps its price until it ends or you switch plans.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay, a payment aggregator regulated by the Reserve Bank of India, on its own checkout and under its own terms. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or banking password.
- Before your first payment we ask for a billing name and your state, for the invoice; a GSTIN is optional. Every payment gets an invoice, by email and in Billing.
- Offers. We sometimes run offers, such as publishing Pro designs free for a limited time. An offer applies only on its stated terms and until its stated end. What an invitation got under an offer stays with it after the offer ends, unless the offer said otherwise.
- Refunds and chargebacks. If a payment is refunded, or reversed by your bank after a dispute (a chargeback), what it bought is taken back: a payment to keep an invitation live loses the time it added, so the invitation may end at once; a Pro payment loses the Pro designs published in the period it paid for, which go back to draft until published again with Pro. We may suspend an account that abuses chargebacks.
- You pay any fees your bank or payment provider adds, such as for currency conversion or international cards.
12. What “live forever” means
- An invitation kept live “forever” stays live for as long as the Truly Invited website exists and runs the Service — the life of the website, not a fixed number of years, and never beyond it.
- It ends earlier only if you delete it (it waits in Trash for 30 days, then is deleted) or delete your account; if we suspend or remove it under section 10; or if the payment that made it forever is refunded or reversed.
- If we decide to close Truly Invited, we will try to tell you by email at least 30 days before, so you can save what you need. When the website closes, invitations kept live forever end with it, and no refund is due.
- “Forever” is final: once an invitation is live forever, nothing more can be bought for it.
- If an invitation or its photos are lost or damaged, section 14 applies.
13. Refunds
Every payment is final and non-refundable. What you buy is digital and is delivered the moment you pay. Our Refunds and cancellation policy explains cancelling Pro, the few payments we refund automatically, and what happens to a payment that failed after your account was debited.
14. Data loss, backups and availability
- We take reasonable care of your content and keep backups — of our database for a short period, and of photos and other files for 30 days. But we don’t promise that the Service or your content will never be lost, damaged or unavailable.
- If your invitations, photos or other content are lost or damaged — for example through a data breach or cyber-attack, a hardware, software or service-provider failure, an error, or a natural disaster — and we can’t restore them from our backups, we can’t bring them back. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for that loss, and no refund is due for it. (If personal data is affected, we tell you as the law requires — see the Privacy policy.)
- Keep your own copies of anything you upload. Truly Invited is not a storage or backup service.
- The Service may be unavailable at times — for maintenance, updates, outages, attacks, or failures of our providers or of the internet. We don’t guarantee any level of availability, or that an invitation will open, play or sound the same in every app, browser and device.
15. Other companies’ services
The Service relies on others — Razorpay for payments, Google for sign-in, our hosting and email providers — and you share invitations through apps such as WhatsApp and Instagram. We are not responsible for their services, outages or decisions (for example, an app not showing a link preview, or an email arriving late or in spam), or for their terms. Invitations can link to other websites, such as maps and photo albums; we don’t control them.
16. Changes to the Service
We may add, change or remove designs, features and limits (such as how many photos an invitation can have), and stop offering a design, at any time. Changes won’t take away what you have already paid for, except as these Terms allow.
17. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranties, express or implied — including of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, or freedom from errors — and we don’t guarantee that your guests will receive, open or see an invitation as you intend.
18. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or opportunity — for example, guests missing an event;
- we are not liable for content that users publish, or for what anyone does with an invitation they can see; and
- our total liability to you for all claims about the Service or these Terms is limited to what you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event that led to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that Indian law does not allow to be excluded or limited.
19. Indemnity
You will indemnify us, our directors, employees and service providers against any claim, demand, loss, penalty, cost or expense (including reasonable lawyers’ fees) arising out of your content, your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms or the law, or your infringement of anyone’s rights, including their intellectual property and privacy.
20. Events beyond our control
We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, epidemics, fire, flood, war, terrorism, riots, strikes, government action or orders, power or internet failures, failures of our hosting, payment or other service providers, cyber-attacks, or a data breach we could not reasonably have prevented.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest change. If a change is material, we tell you by email or when you next sign in, and ask you to accept it again. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept it; if you don’t agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.
22. Governing law and courts
These Terms and every dispute about them or the Service are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the next sentence, the courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan have exclusive jurisdiction. This doesn’t take away any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 to complain to a consumer commission. Before going to court, please write to us at support@trulyinvited.com — most problems can be sorted out quickly.
23. General
- These Terms, with the Refunds and cancellation policy and anything shown to you at checkout, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.
- If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we don’t give it up.
- We may transfer these Terms to a company that takes over the Service, for example in a merger or a sale of the business. You may not transfer them without our written consent.
- Nothing in these Terms makes either of us the other’s partner, agent or employee.
- We send notices to the email address you sign in with. Send yours to support@trulyinvited.com; formal legal notices also by post to our registered office.
- If we translate these Terms, the English version applies where they differ.
